What if I don't know my goals for therapy?
I will help you figure this out. And together we will design a treatment plan specific to your life and your needs.

What should I expect from my first session?
Prior to our first meeting I may speak with you over the phone. I will also email intake forms that help me gather details of your life to help me get to know you. In our first meeting, called an Assessment, we will review these forms, and talk about what led you to me. We will also discuss whether other supports are needed, such as primary care, or family counseling. We will review insurance coverage, rates, confidentiality, and scheduling agreements. My goal is to begin to design a plan of how I can help you and let you see how I work as your therapist. If we are not a good fit, for whatever reason, I will be happy to help you find an alternative provider.
I just want regular therapy... not yoga or Reiki.
Your therapy journey is your own. Not all clients want to explore alternative modalities. No Pressure!
How do I know if my insurance will pay for therapy?
I provide free insurance benefit checks prior to our first meeting. We can also discuss cash pay and sliding scale.
